Course Overview
This four-day, bootcamp-style intensive delivers a structured, demonstrations-based learning experience focused on Palantir Foundry and AIP. Instruction is led by an expert and supported by guided, step-by-step demonstrations and comprehensive walkthroughs conducted within a live Palantir and AIP instance. These demonstrations are specifically designed to reflect real-world operational use cases.
The pedagogical approach emphasizes active participation: you follow each guided walkthrough using your own Palantir environment, applying the same technical steps to reinforce learning and ensure practical mastery.
Technical Requirement: Access to a Palantir system is not provided as part of this course. Participants are expected to utilize their own organizational environment to complete all hands-on activities and exercises.
The curriculum is designed as a progressive build, moving from data ingestion and pipeline development to ontology modeling, application development, and AI-driven workflows. Each module builds toward practical execution and measurable business outcomes.
Core Objectives
The primary mission of this program is to transition learners from foundational knowledge to professional-grade system architecture. Key objectives include:
- Foundational Architecture: Explaining Foundry’s internal architecture and managing the comprehensive data lifecycle.
- Data Engineering: Building and maintaining automated, high-integrity data pipelines.
- Quality Assurance: Applying rigorous data quality validation and reliability protocols.
- Semantic Modeling: Structuring disparate enterprise data into a coherent, object-oriented Ontology.
- Operational Delivery: Developing frontline applications that streamline and drive business operations.
- AI Orchestration: Integrating the Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) to deploy secure, scalable, and governed AI solutions.
Comprehensive Training Phase Model
Phase 1: Data Engineering & Pipeline Foundations
This phase establishes the structural integrity of the Palantir environment, focusing on the “plumbing” of enterprise data.
- Ingestion Strategies: Connecting diverse data sources, from structured CSV records to live operational API streams.
- Lineage & Transparency: Tracing data dependencies to ensure total visibility into the impact of pipeline changes.
- Transformation Logic: This phase establishes the structural integrity of the Palantir environment, focusing on the “plumbing” of enterprise data.
- Utilizing Code Repositories: (SQL/Python) and the Visual Pipeline Builder to convert raw data into structured assets.
- Reliability & Monitoring: Implementing automated health checks and performance monitoring to ensure consistent pipeline execution.
Phase 2: The Semantic Layer (Ontology) & Intelligence
Phase 2 shifts the focus from technical data storage to business-centric modeling.
- Ontology Engineering: Defining business entities—such as Customers or Products—and establishing the relational links between them.
- Operational Mapping: Aligning physical datasets with the business-logic layer to create a functional “digital twin”.
- Exploratory Analytics: Leveraging Contour for trend analysis and engineering interactive dashboards for real-time KPI visualization.
Phase 3: Operational Applications & AI Integration
The final phase focuses on the delivery of value through user-facing tools and intelligent automation.
- Application Design: Constructing purpose-built workspaces and input forms for real-time data management.
- Workflow Automation: Configuring Action Logic to trigger complex business processes and automated responses.
- AIP Implementation: Embedding AI models within workflows to provide context-aware intelligence and recommendations.
- Governed AI: Establishing “Human-in-the-Loop” protocols to ensure all AI-supported decisions remain controlled and auditable.
Real-World Project Competencies
As a direct result of this course, learners will be equipped to architect and deploy end-to-end solutions such as:
- Supply Chain Control Towers: Integrating live shipment APIs and inventory data to provide real-time visibility and automated disruption alerts.
- 360-Degree Customer Portals: Linking disparate sales, support, and demographic datasets into a unified Ontology for personalized service delivery.
- AI-Augmented Maintenance Systems: Building workflows that use AIP to recommend repair actions based on sensor data, requiring human validation before execution.
- Dynamic Operational Dashboards: Creating interactive reporting tools that allow executives to drill down from high-level KPIs into specific raw records.
- Automated Data Governance Suites: Deploying pipelines with built-in quality checks and full lineage tracking to meet strict regulatory compliance standards
