Description

In this one-day course, participants will develop an understanding of what it takes to negotiate the many kinds of agreements that are a key part of everyone’s job. Participants will learn a four-step negotiation process and then will practice key skills while engaging in a negotiation simulation. The workshop is based on the book, Getting to Yes: Negotiating Agreement without Giving In.

Objectives

Participants will know how to:

  • Learn the four steps of the Principled Negotiation Method.
  • Understand the importance of preparation and limits to a successful outcome.
  • Be able to pay attention to the feelings implicit in the conversation.
