Description:
This course will provide you with keys for building resilience to help you recover from life’s stresses, large and small. We will focus on two key areas: self-compassion and self-care. After participating in a guided mediation, you will learn how to incorporate purposeful pauses into your day. Using group discussion, the chat feature and open mic, we will discuss how the tips and tools presented can help you on your journey to resiliency.
The stories we tell ourselves help determine how happy and resilient we are. Our inner narrator never goes on vacation! With that in mind, we will also look at the concept of reframing and how it might be useful for us in navigating life hurdles. With reframing, we can acknowledge our emotions, learn from them, and choose a mental framework that helps us move forward.
You will be asked to commit to making a small change or trying something based on what was presented.
