Course Description:
This is a 5-day course. In complex and demanding organizational environments, managers are being challenged to deliver more with less at high speed. The challenge in those organizations is to deploy projects and satisfy demanding stakeholders under conditions of rapid change and complexity. It is not enough, those organizations have discovered, to manage using the traditional “closed-system” models. Today, it is critical that managers employ project management using an “open-systems” model that engages customers and key stakeholders in the project from initiation to deployment.
That also requires that managers in those organizations understand and apply:

- Disciplined decision making and problem solving
- The cost-effective management of risks
- Process improvement and management
- Communication with a wide array of stakeholders
- Effective management of human resources
- The management of personal time and the management of projects within the time allocated for them
- The management of conflict and the analysis of conflict to identify opportunities for problem resolution
