Many emotional intelligence (EI) classes start with well-intended self-assessments and conclude unfortunately with participants walking away with their blind spots still intact and no practical steps for improving. This class is different.

It begins with an exploration of the core EI model but then dives into providing concrete steps for improving relationships by teaching and then practicing empathy and validation skills. These two skills are critical for successfully managing emotions and handling crucial conversations.

And what could be more crucial than giving and receiving feedback? We all know we need feedback to improve yet graciously receiving and giving feedback can be a challenge. Many refrain from providing much needed feedback for lack of skill in this area. This course is designed to help you identify why you react the way you do to feedback and provides tips on how to respond in a more productive way. It also provides skills to sensitively give others useful, concrete feedback.

You will be engaged through journaling, group discussions, quizzes and feedback role plays. With professional coaching skills, the facilitator will help guide you to greater self-awareness and encourage you to draft your own plan of action, the goal of which is self-improvement, enhanced relationships and better outcomes.
